Happy Father's Day!

Happy SECOND Father's Day to Madeline's Daddy and my sweet husband, Alan. I can't believe we're starting to celebrate "second" happenings with her!

Today has been bittersweet since it's the first Father's Day without Alan's Dad, Harold. We miss him terribly and even more so on days like today.

After church, we ate a delicious lunch with Alan's family in the Meadow Lake dining room (Meadow Lake is Alan's Mom's retirement community). The food there is ALWAYS delicious - they have a great chef. After lunch, we visited a little while at Alan's Mom's house before coming home and taking a nice long Sunday afternoon nap! That was one's of Madeline's gifts to her Daddy today - she "said" she would to try and take a long nap so that HE could take a long nap, and she did!

Madeline's gift to her Daddy - a gift certificate to play golf at a local course.

I didn't get to spend any time with my Daddy today, but I'm going to spend a few days with them in Longview this week and we will celebrate then! Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!
