Spiralin' Seas Waterpark!

Uncle Bruce and Aunt Michelle gave Madeline this FUN water toy for her birthday! We put it inside her little swimming pool to coral her on the deck. It comes with 5 little balls (that are also squirt toys) that you send down the large spiral in the middle of the table which makes them come splashing down into the water. There's also a little Ferris wheel for the balls, a water wheel, and a spinner that powers the "lazy river". She loved splashing her little hands in the water and playing with the balls especially. Thanks, Bruce and Michelle! She loves it!

Magazines and Picture Attempts

These next few pictures are attempts at getting a good picture of Madeline's new dress that her Mimi gave her for her birthday. Needless to say, it's getting harder and harder to get good pictures of her. She's a mover and a shaker, and when she's actually still, we can't get her to look at the camera!

Happy 16th Birthday, Bret!

My handsome nephew turned 16 on June 3rd. I can't believe he is already 16! I am so proud of the wonderful Christian man he is becoming. Can't wait to see what the next few years have in store for him!

We were on vacation on his actual birthday, but we later took him out for lunch for his birthday. He decided to go to a new restaurant in Tyler, Kung Pao, and it was yummy. We were joined by Alan's Mom, my niece, Elissa, and my other nephew, Gregory. Bruce and Michelle (Alan's sister in b-in-l) were on a trip for their 25th anniversary. Elissa, Bret, and Gregory were staying with Alan's Mom while they were gone.

Since it was an extra special birthday, we wanted to give him an extra special present. We gave him a really neat leather cross shield necklace from James Avery. You can't see it well in the pictures of Bret, so here is a larger picture of it. He seemed to really like it!

Miss Pigg-Tails

I decided to put Madeline's hair in Pigg-Tails today just for fun. She's pretty cute, if I do say so myself!

I usually keep a baby gate blocking off this hallway, but I before I put it back up she found her beach toys from our vacation that I hadn't put away yet. I think she likes playing with them better at home than she does in the sand. :)

I am SO BEHIND on blogging about Miss Madeline! I haven't done her 11 month update, not to mention her birthday post! We just got back from a MUCH needed vacation, and things are slowing down a little bit. I can hopefully catch up on some blogging and keep up to date better! In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at our cutiepie on her beach vacation!

A New Discovery!

...and....we've discovered the toilet paper in our bathroom! This was her idea of helping me clean her bathroom. Every second of each day is getting more interesting with a curious toddler, but I love it! Doesn't she look proud of herself? At least it was the end of the roll! The last picture is for my Mom...she gave me this little Piglet years ago. When you wind it up, it plays the "Winne the Pooh" song and his little body moves with the music. Madeline has just learned about him. This is her giving him a hug. When you ask her to give someone or something a hug, she does, and makes the sweetest little squeal. :)
